Funny how we sometimes realize after the fact what it is that we are looking at. I was wandering around Yonge St. in Toronto and saw this building across the road. I had walked right under it's canopy while going the other way and it didn't even register.
I just checked out the sign though and looked it up on the internet. Turns out that the Elgin and Winter Gardens Theatres are "the last surviving Edwardian stacked theatres in the world" - ie. there is one theatre on top of the other!
Amazing what you can come across sometime when you are just wandering.

Just got in from Toronto last night. A week at a time is about all I can take of that city, no offense to those who enjoy busy places like that.
