Came across this on Chase Jarvis' facebook today and felt it was something I'd like to spread (click to be able to read the text). If you don't feel like clicking, shown below is an image on which Richard Avedon drew instructions for his printer.

To all those who go on about the use of photoshop as cheating, using the words of Chase, "I call horse-pucky."
We're all just trying to create great images here. Why argue about how it's done. Go make awesome images.
